Section 2: Broadway to Wood Stanway map
Cross-check: National Trails route description . Opened 22 October 2026. The distance at the top of this page is measured on the imported line. The route page's miles, and the climb it prints for the section, stay in the answers below.
The walk
From Broadway the path climbs on broad tracks to Shenberrow Camp, an Iron Age hill fort, and then drops into Stanton. That village is the night on the longer plans, so this section walks through the stop. After Stanton the walking eases across the level parkland of the Stanway estate, with its Jacobean manor. The hamlet of Wood Stanway is the end, and it is not a night on these plans.
