The walk

The Clwydian Range is a line of heather hills, several of them topped by hillforts: Foel Fenlli, Moel Arthur, Penycloddiau. Between them stands the Jubilee Tower on Moel Famau, built in 1810. On a clear day Snowdonia fills the west and England stretches away to the east. In cloud, the ridge turns slow and navigation becomes serious.
