The walk

A section of contrasts. Chirk Castle is close to the start, and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Telford's World Heritage Site of 1805, is on the way. Then the path runs under the limestone of the Eglwyseg crags and the ruins of Dinas Bran, past World's End, and over moor into Llandegla Forest, home to Wales's largest black grouse population.
